Fiji 4th September 2005

Well, today was the last day. It was another day of flawless weather and sadly our last day on Beachcomber or anywhere else in Fiji. In keeping with the local way of doing things we didn’t hurry at any point. We went down to the office and checked out, had a final pineapple juice and sat around talking to an old guy from Queensland, Australia who was leaving that day as well.

The boat picked us up at 11am, and after one last photo we were on our way home. The boat journey and subsequent bus ride to the airport went along without incident (other than one guy being sick – to much alcohol I think) and we arrived in plenty of time to catch an early evening flight. After browsing the souvenir shops and buying a few bits and pieces we boarded our flight and said goodbye to Fiji. An amazing holiday – I truly did not want to leave.
